For those of us not around in 1910, we missed the creation of something extraordinary, something that even now some 100 years later still holds hobbyists and collectors alike in awe.

In their entirety, this collection is beyond the means of most people, no longer traded by children on corners, pasted into scrapbooks or framed on bedroom walls, yet their magic still captures the spirit of yesterday and the dreams of countless schoolboys idolizing their heroes.

Shortly after the invention of photography in 1839, the desire to show overviews of cities and landscapes prompted photographers to take photos; when, merged together became known then as a Panograph.
Around 1900, panoramic photography was practiced primarily by commercial photographers. Panoramic photographs were also popular as portrait souvenirs for people attending conventions, conferences, and company events. Shortly after a group was photographed or "panographed" the panorama would be displayed and orders would be taken for copies.
